The City of Hallandale Beach needs your help in shaping our Community’s future.
In March, every household will receive the 2010 Census questionnaire, which must be filled out and mailed back as soon as received. It only has 10 questions and takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Full participation will help determine the distribution of more than $400 billion per year in federal funding. More federal funding for our community means more money for schools, new jobs and even less taxes.
By supporting the 2010 Census, your business/organization will:
* Help your community get needed funding. Census data are used to alment funding for new hospitals, roads, schools and other facilities. Stronger communities allow your employers to prosper, attract/ retain employees and create a better market for your products/ services.
* Make informed decisions. Census data guide business leaders in critical decision making from product/ service placement to where to open new business/ organization facilities.
* Fulfill a valuable civic duty. Supporting the 2010 Census can align your business/organization with the community it serves and demonstrates your commitment to being an active corporate citizen.
The City of Hallandale Beach needs your help in raising awareness on the importance of the 2010 Census. Your assistance can be as little as sending out an email to your client list, passing out flyers and/or placing a poster in your business/ organization reception area. If you would like to help, please contact Brenda Leguisamo, City Census Coordinator, at telephone 954-457-1469 or email 2010census@cohb.org.
